All Webmasters are guilty of shortcut hunting when it comes to SEO. The fact is simple. Valuable SEO methods take time & energy. The most time consuming & frustrating form of SEO is long-form content. Now, definitions of ‘long-form’ vary a great deal but most can agree anything over 1000 words equates to something long-form. Some people publish content as high as 10,000 words… eek. I can get to a point where its not serving its purpose, in my opinion writing for search engines is dead. You need to be writing for people. For the purpose of reading. So if it takes more than 5-10 minutes to read your content is getting skimmed over. Always remember the purpose of your content. It is to educate, not to spam Google. That being said, content over 1000 words tends to boost rankings quicker than content under 1000 words.
